Reference: Forecourt Optimization

Through optimal product allocation for fuel pumps and fuel tanks, product availability at each filling point, storage capacities, and supply planning were to be optimized. The client was a petroleum company with a network of over 1,000 filling stations.

For data analysis, the fuel volumes at each filling point, including filling point allocations, tank capacities and their allocation information, were accessed over a representative period of time. Optimality criteria were then defined, which, together with mathematical models, formed the basis for the modeling of scenarios - and thus for the solution design.

Based on the developed solution design, the scenarios were programmed. The evaluation of the turnover data and the calculation of an optimal product allocation for each filling station took place automatically.

• The requirements for the desired optimization were resolved by developing a BI solution.
• The customer can use the developed BI platform for future optimizations, such as for product enhancements or new product launches.
